  • Xanga Refresh

    Hello all,

It's very unlikely people still read my xanga here, but I am considering restarting Xanga, with a main focus on my thoughts/beliefs (faith-related things) since I don't really have a public place for these at this current time.  Bear with me as I make the transition, and I'll be posting when I have the urge/tendency to (these things don't always occur).  This is more a warning, if you are not interested in reading about Christianity/my faith and what it means to me, please feel free to check out my public blog at www.jenlbrice.blogspot.com  Thanks! :)

    Sincerely,

    Jen

  • Today was a good day... a really good day.

My summer has been interesting, not so much full of good stuff, but it's the little things that make me happy.

And I know that despite everything going on, God has a plan, and I can't let all this stuff drag me down.  I gotta keep positive, there's really no time to be negative.

To recap: life is good, despite my mom's cancer, despite my brother's disorder, and despite my last remaining grandparent becoming ill.

God has me.  Today has been a good day.

  • If you believe in destiny...

    Let me know :)

I just sent out an email that has sealed my fate, at least temporarily.  I'm still uncertain of my future but I have a phone call on Monday with a lady in Baraboo, WI at this Crane foundation about an internship there for the summer.  Baraboo is north of Madison, so I'm guessing it's about 2.5 hours away from my house.  Not too bad.

All I know right now is that I graduate on May 11th, and I might go to Canada on May 12th with my roomie Joyce and then get back in time for my graduation shin-dig (it's not exactly a party, it's an open house, that my moms invited the world to) on the 18th.  Beyond that, I have no concrete plans. I could go to Baraboo, WI, or stay at home to work at Brookfield or an animal hospital somewhere.  There's an animal hospital in Naperville looking for an assistant... there's an internship at Brookfield I'm waiting to hear back from, and there's this Baraboo lady (I like the word baraboo its fun).

Oh yea and I turned down Grad school, so I'll be sticking around wherever I end up for the next year and a half or so, as I reapply to Vet school and Grad school (better programs this time haha) .... joyful times.

I gotta go meet up with some friends, but felt the urge to share this news.  I'll try to actually post more than never.
